History
In 1910 in Varshets was built the first thermal spa house and a casino inspired from the architectural style of the fashionable then Baden-Baden. Upper middle class people built their own private villas on the main street near the new park and the hot springs. Most of these houses are now protected landmarks. The Varshets city park is created over an extraordinary 80 ha of forest land second only to the Borisova Garden in Sofia.
